Phonics 'oa' sound - Making a boat for a goat 

The children have been making a 'boat for a goat', using the junk modelling. As well as reinforcing the phonic sound 'oa' we have also been learning about which materials are good for building a boat. The children have been using vocabulary such as 'sink' or 'float' to describe how their models have worked on the water test. 

Measurement - Heavy and light

The children have been learning about measurement and using language such as 'heavier' and 'lighter'.
